About Gretchen Klinedinst Furst:
Gretchen is a veteran Civic Theatre member, teaching drama to students of all ages and performing there since 1997. She writes content for The Civic Theatre of Allentown's Facebook page as well. She taught high school English, Public Speaking, Drama and Creative Writing in the Parkland and Southern Lehigh school districts. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature with a minor in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Delaware, her Teaching Certificate from Moravian College, and a Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Kutztown University. She teaches creative writing, academic writing, public speaking, storytelling for marketing, and personal journaling to all ages. She's available for private coaching as well. She also teaches at Northampton Community College. Awarded the Allentown Arts Commission Arts Ovation Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Literary Arts in 2014, Gretchen Klinedinst Furst is an accomplished writer and co-author of Mommalogues, a play produced by Civic Theatre in 2012 and in New York at Marvel Repertory Theatre in 2013.
